About Wholistic Methylation

Wholistic Methylation combines genetic testing, biochemistry, and muscle testing to give you the most accurate health information possible. Developed by Dr. J Dunn, Wholistic Methylation is a proprietary combination of science and hands on technique.

Each of us has a unique genetic profile that makes us who we are and what we struggle with. While we can’t change our genes we can support the systems in the body that turn off the damaging ones and turn on the ones that support mental and physical health.

A Wholistic Methylation practitioner is a licensed health care provider who has taken advanced training. Practitioners assess your unique methylation patterns using muscle testing and potentially DNA testing. This helps pinpoint your specific "genetic variants," enabling them to suggest dietary, lifestyle, and supplementation adjustments to bypass your particular DNA mutations effectively.

What is Methylation?

Methylation is a crucial biological process involving the transfer of a methyl group—a combination of one carbon atom and three hydrogen atoms—onto various molecules such as amino acids, proteins, enzymes, and DNA. This process occurs in every cell and tissue throughout the body and plays a vital role in regulating healing, cell energy, genetic expression, neurological function, liver detoxification, immunity, and more.

It's worth noting that methylation is catalyzed by a range of enzymes and is influenced by environmental factors. As we age, the efficiency of this process tends to decline, which is linked to a wide array of age-related disorders. Therefore, maintaining optimal methylation is an ongoing challenge, as our bodies must continuously adapt to changing environmental conditions.

Ultimately, the health and quality of life are significantly impacted by the efficiency of the methylation process.

Methylation is critical to the following:

  • Repairing and building RNA and DNA
  • Immune function (how your body responds to and fights infection)
  • Digestive Issues
  • Cell Membrane fluidity and function
  • DNA silencing
  • Toxic Metal Detoxification
  • Inflammation
  • Neurotransmitter balance (mood stabilization)
  • Energy production
  • Protein activity
  • Myelination
  • Cancer prevention

What does a Wholistic Methylation visit look like?

Your Wholistic Methylation practitioner will evaluate your individual methylation patterns through muscle testing to determine approximately where these genetic glitches are and recommending diet, lifestyle and supplementation to achieve a “genetic bypass” of your particular DNA mutations. Some may also include genetic testing with MyHappyGenes®.

Genetic Testing-MyHappyGenes®

MyHappyGenes® DNA test will give you the raw genetic data you need to truly understand your inherited risks. Results are received in approximately 2-4 weeks. Once your practitioner receives the report they can begin your individualized diet and lifestyle and supplementation protocol.

First Visit: Your practitioner will do a thorough test of all systems. They can then use kinesiology to determine your exact nutrient needs and amounts needed to compensate for your genetic variants.

If they also use the genetic tests, your practitioner will run your data through our proprietary software program to extract the information that matters based on your symptoms.

Please note that repair and detoxification will take a bit of time. However, progress is generally seen quickly in certain symptoms such as depression, focus, memory and fatigue.

How Long Will The First Appointment Take?

Depending on your practitioner and your health concerns, this first visit can take from 1.5-2 hours to take a history, go over your results and design a health program for you. Your follow up appointment may be much shorter.  Speak to your practitioner for more specific information.

Personalized Recommendations

Because of your unique genetics and environmental exposure levels your supplement program must be customized to fit your needs. The program is designed to:

  • Repair Cellular Damage,
  • Balance Nutrient Deficiencies,
  • Allow Your Body To Detox
  • Allow Your Immune System To Function Normally
  • And Repair Neurological Damage.

This Process Takes Time And Patience

The good news is that through this program it is possible to address all of these areas and rebalance these systems. Success can be achieved by slowly correcting each imbalance and beginning to rebuild the body.

Follow-up visits

On your follow-up visit your practitioner will re-evaluate your program and make sure we are not missing any ingredients to get your body functioning normally again. These visits typically run from 20-30 minutes depending on your situation, the progress you are making, and how you are tolerating your treatment protocol.
